Maths problem solving
This term we have been doing some maths problem solving in little groups. Maths problem solving is when we all work out the question that the teacher has given us. Also there are some experts that work with the teacher so they can help us as well. We have been learning how to measure, times tables and addition. I think my group works well tougher because we are all ways helping each other and talk about the question.

Trip to Waitangi
In Te Maunga we went on a trip to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds with Te Tahuna. We went there because we were learning about Matariki and how we celebrate it. I learnt how to make a flax fish. When we were there we did some planting, weaving and some games. At the end we all had some kai.

He Tino Reka/kawa
In Te Maunga we have been learning to say it’s very sweet and it very sour in Te reo. Understand and use some familiar food vocabulary. One day the teacher brought some food into the class and we all had to try some and say He Tino Reka(sweet) / kawa(sour).
